Welcome child of light to today's edition of TRUST TUESDAYS where we get to encourage ourselves in the Lord and read posts that can help us draw strength and trust God all the more.
The devil really battled this post because I was feeling a little under the weather and I hadn't even done anything about the post but I went to bed reciting a scripture John 16:33
"These words I have spoken to you that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world".
I woke up this morning and by God's grace I am a lot better 😭❤️.
If this isn't a testimony and one that should make you trust God, I don't know what else is.
Trust is one thing I have always viewed as a blind commitment. When you decide to trust, you know nothing and most times you have no guarantee that things won't go otherwise but blindly you decide to trust. You have never seen God, Jesus or the Holy Spirit face to face but you believe that they exist and that God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.
It is based on your trust that you pray, believing you will get speedy answers and the perfect will of God.
Trust like I have come to discover, does not thrive in the presence of fear. Fear will never allow you to trust with your heart due to its constant whispering of disappointment. Yepp I said it! Fear is the voice that whispers disappointment so Trust cannot thrive in an atmosphere that already has a conclusion hanging in the air.
Last night when I was feeling really down, I asked myself a question I saw from the devotional I read (I will post the devotional here too so that all can benefit from it) "Haven't you learned to trust yet?
That question has so many things attached to it like: Haven't you learned to trust yet despite all the miracles you've seen me perform in the past? Haven't you learned to trust me in every situation because I have never failed you? Haven't you learned to trust with the confidence that I can't lead you astray? Haven't you learned to trust me knowing that my specialty is difficulty?
God is asking us all "Haven't you learned to trust me?" Trust in God requires effort and by effort, I mean making conscious effort to believe God won't fail.
Learn to trust God today dear friend and I know you won't be disappointed.
Blessings, love and light 💡.
Tomorrow is Worship Wednesday and I'm excited 🥳💃
